Rejuveneering Old Cells, Tissues, and Organs

Rejuvenation of old cells by enhancing regeneration using synthetic biocircuits

Lessons From Immortal Organisms

The immortal planarian, Schmidtea mediterranea uses regeneration to maintain eternal youth. RSI actively investigates the molecular mechanisms that underlie these remarkable regenerative processes, including pluripotent adult stem cell function, pattern formation, and elimination of defective cells.

Roadmap for maximizing a healthy lifespan

RSI scientists conduct and track cutting-edge aging research. The impact of recent fundamental research on extending healthy life span is reviewed in "Medical Implications Of Basic Research In Aging".

AMRITA Initiative

RSI’s long-term strategy to develop and enhance the regenerative capacity of human beings to live healthier, disease-free lives and transform aging into a benign, beneficial process during which health and vigor are maintained. AMRITA is the logical next step for regenerative medicine– to engineer enhanced regeneration into human beings.

Welcome

Regenerative Sciences Institute (RSI) is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to develop regenerative therapies for aging, as well as develop regenerative technologies more broadly through focused initiatives. Through its AMRITA Initiative, RSI is developing the regenerative and synthetic bio-technologies necessary to alleviate the infirmities and diseases of aging. How? By creating the tools to program living systems as we program computers. RSI makes strong use of AI technology to facilitate these goals. By transforming research first into inventions, and then into entrepreneurial ventures. What would you do to stay healthy into old age, to have the time to live life full measure? Reimagine life!
